THE ROLE
As a key member of the Oracle Recruitment Team, you will have at your disposal the very best work facilities and resources with which to work.
These include, a state-of-the-art database system, up-to-date market intelligence, unlimited access to all the major Job Portals, and, with a team of colleagues who all come from impressive backgrounds in the Recruitment industry in Greater China, you will enjoy the financial and professional success that adorns such a world class team of professionals.
KEY OBJECTIVES OF THE ROLE:
Reporting directly to the Head of Recruitment for Greater China, you will partner with the internal hiring Managers of Oracle’s Lines Of Business (LOB’s) to recruit the best candidates in the market, on a national basis. You will do this in a professional, cost effective and timely manner, either on assignment or sometimes project basis.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
In essence, the business comes to you via the LOB’s, therefore, you will….
• Manage the recruitment process:- taking the initial job order, though to final offer and acceptance;
• Plan your resourcing strategy:- identify target companies and candidates and then directly approach the candidates you have identified;
• Prepare and coordinate sourcing activities:-
- Advertising (print and web based),
- External search firms (as required),
- Oracle candidate records from the database,
- Employee referrals and your own personal network;
• Manage the candidate response from job portals, providing feedback to management and candidates on interviews in a professional and timely manner;
• Screen incoming CV’s and shortlist suitable candidates interview (telephone screening);
• Conduct competency based interviewing whenever practicable;
• Administer Interview / Technical Test / English test if/when required by LOB’s;
• Develop specific lead-generation channels;
• When requested, assist in negotiating salary packages and facilitate the finalization of offer letters;
• Represent Oracle at Career Days, Recruitment Fairs and graduate recruitment programs when it is relevant;
THE PERSON
The ideal candidate will be an established Recruitment Consultant with a proven track record, working with a Recruitment Agency / Search Firm in the China market, and, working with a candidate / client base within the Information Technology industry.
From a personal viewpoint you will have above average interpersonal and influencing skills, competency based interviewing skills and a refined knowledge of recruitment practices with the ability to interact with people from a variety of different cultures. Further, a team focused attitude is also necessary as you will work closely with colleagues based in other China cities and fluency in spoken and written English and Putonghua is essential.
Academically, a degree in a relevant discipline like HR Management or Business Administration would be an advantage.
