Program Specialist Intern (Undergraduate Level)

Location- Shenzhen

This team has raised the bar for supply chain excellence, but now a new and even more challenging era has begun. We must continue to maintain delivery, improve quality and accelerate supply chain velocity, even as Cisco expands into new technologies, and geographies. It's an exciting time to be part of this team as we optimize the supply chain across multiple dimensions and stay ahead of the increasing complexity and changing marketplace.

Program Introduction:

Interns in the SCO Organization will spend 10-15 weeks working on projects which add significant value to Cisco Systems, Inc.

·        
The SCO internship program is designed for the participant to gain:

o   
Experience: SCO interns will be placed into a role based on their area of interest and the business need and will participate in a group case competition.

o   
Exposure:  Interns will work and interact with senior leadership, managers, cross-functional teams, and other SCO interns.

Responsibilities:

·        
Leading and managing small projects throughout the SCO Business Project Life Cycle (Business Justification, Concept, Plan, Development, Validation, Deployment, and Sustainability) or managing a portion of a larger, more complex program.

·        
Communication with senior leadership

·        
Facilitating cross-functional and/or global teams

·        
Will matrix manage other project managers to ensure the overall program is delivered on time, within scope, and according to budget

·        
Manages up to ensure executives are informed of contextual business information

·        
Supports or supervises a team in a matrix environment

Requirements:

The Program Specialist role at Cisco is extremely dynamic and fast paced. We are looking for the kind of team members that have the following skill sets:

Demonstrates leadership qualities including: a sense of vision, ability to motivate and inspire others, solve problems, meet deadlines, and confident.

·        
Good presentation and communication skills including written, verbal, and listening skills

Educational Background:

·        
2013 undergraduates

·        
Desired Major’s are: Degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Business Administration or other quantitative disciplines
