Job Description

1. Work as reliability test engineer to focus on HDD reliability testing, including high temperature operational test and Temperature/Voltage Margin Test, reports to reliability manager.
2. Testbed incidents first level diagnostic based upon error code, test log, HDD SMART files, and create failure record in database as well as notify Engineering team
3. Work with Engineering team on further verification or duplication after EFA
4. Monitor test equipment status and work with maintenance team to fix or upgrade chambers
5. Test result reporting, and data analysis, test parameter analysis.
6. Support reliability program engineer and Reliability Lead on qualifications test, ORT sampling, failures delivery tracking.
7. Work with lab operation team to load/unload drives and maintain drives inventory.?
8. Modify test script and create beat-up test script in Python program

Qualifications

1. Bachelor Degree in Engineering
2. Fluent English communication skill both in speaking and writing
3. Candidate must be able to work independently
4. Data analysis skill is also a basic requirement. JMP or Minitab skill is preferred.
5. Computing skill and must be familiar with Microsoft Office 2007 or above.
6. Experience in electronics production industry, HDD knowledge, failure analysis is preferred.
7. Programming language knowledge is preferred(Python, Java)

1) Develop expertise in Seagate’s analysis systems and techniques
2)Use business intelligence tools to retrieve and analyze data
3)Apply advanced analytical techniques for data discovery
4)Meticulously report data trends that have an impact on Seagate’s quality and operations
5)Assist in training others on data analysis tools

Requirements:

1)Strong analytical capabilities and creative problem-solving skills
2)Attention to detail and a proactive, inquisitive attitude
3)Strong presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills
4)Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
5)Team-oriented attitude

Qualifications:

1)Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physics, Math, or related field, advanced degree is preferred
2)Proficiency in MS Office applications
3)Statistics background
4)Advanced data analysis experience is preferred
5)Programming experience is preferred
6)SQL, Access, JMP, Matlab, Tableau experience is preferred
