Position: Engineer,  Engine Testing

Organization: R&D, Vehicle Engineering

Location : Shanghai

Summary of the Role

This role involves  customer contacts and receiving test request from customer, performing tests  based on defined specification and process, operate test rigs according to  established procedure, delivering test data in a quality assured manner,  implementing testing plan to meet customer needs.

Responsibilities

-Participate  in test project meetings occurring both at an early stage of test project and  during the project implementation, to review and ensure the test quality and  test timing agreed with the customer.

-Contact  with the customer/ liaison to go through the test object scope.

-Receive the  test purpose and the conditions for the test mission and ensure the correct  understanding.

-Establish  test configurations through test automation system based on customer’s  requirement. Manage and maintain test data base.

-Implement  testing using in-house test facilities.

-Collect and  distribute quality assured measurement data.

-Assess the  quality of the data/results, give recommendations to design units.

-Trouble  shoot and do re-planning based on result/outcome.

-Following  up and reporting test status.

-Maintain  and calibrate test labs’ equipment following VCTC’s internal equipment  management process.

-Analyze  equipment malfunction, help maintenance team to position the source of  failure.

-Plan and  implement test equipment for new labs

Qualification

-Bachelor degree or  above 
- Major in Automobile Engineering or related

-Knowledge of engine  test equipment (including emission equipment) and Data acquisition system

-Knowledge of national  and EU regulations related to engine performance and engine emissions

-General IT knowledge,  including MS office, MS Project, AutoCAD

-Driving license (level  C) is a plus
