Position Title: [AUTOMOTIVE] Product Development Engineer
Location – City and Country: Suzhou, China

Primary Responsibilities:
Project management
Performs assignments, which usually are simple and require minimum technical expertise.  Exercises a little discretion and independent judgment with respect to matters of significance under the close direction of the project leader in order to finish part of a project within the required time and budget. Failure to achieve results may cause delays in the project schedule.
Product development
New Product: Get direction from supervisors to assist in Engineer’s' translation of requirements into new product solutions. Help Engineers to get involved in the process of new product development with close supervision, in order to complete own part in a practical and economical way.
Continuous Improvement: Follows established procedures and guidelines to learn how to participate in product/process/procedure/... improvement. Help Engineers to provide analysis or literary searches to test the feasibility of the improvements, in order to enhance the quality or process efficiency.
Technical support
Provides basic technical advice on given simple tasks or projects to other personnel in order to ensure the related process works properly.
Product qualification
Understand the product testing procedures, equipment and evaluation techniques. Conducts routine analysis and investigatory work according to an established plan. Record results and prepares simple technical reports.
Innovation & IP
Provides innovative solutions to reduce product cost, improve product quality, and improve process efficiency. Documents and communicates potential IP to ensure TE's IP is protected.
Product specification
Follows the instructions to model or calculate interactions using mathematics and other approaches to specify product characteristics in order to help to establish a standard characteristic of a product.  

Competencies & Experience Required/Desired:
Self-management, Positive mind-set, seek possibilities rather than limitation. Always seek to find more opportunities, ability to challenge technical solutions and processes by using of ingenuity, creativity and different way;
Willing to communicate proactively with good communication skill both in Chinese and English (oral and written) in order to correctly understand customer requirement and conveying engineering information;
Having some Intern working experience in manufacturing plant is highly preferred;
Mastery of office software such as Word, Excel, PPT, etc. and draft software such Pro-E, etc.

Educational Required/Desired:
Bachelor degree or above majored in mechanical engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field.
