As a Customer Systems Intern at Micron Technology, Inc., under the supervision of senior engineers, you will be responsible for system-level failure analysis, characterization, and experimentation of customer systems. You will run and configure diagnostic software, design experiments, analyze and interpret data, create custom tools (Hardware and Software), present data to team. To accomplish these responsibilities, you will use a variety of equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, signal generators, multi-meters, etc.). You will work with other engineers within the Customer Systems Engineering Group, Field Application Engineering, Application Engineering, Product Engineering, Quality Assurance, and all business unit teams.
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities for this internship include but are not limited to the following.
Support Micron Product Qualifications
Modify test scripts and code
Create and document test procedures
Analyze and compile test results
Provide report results to the external customer
Debug Micron Product Qualification Failures
Provide technical support to customers and the field applications team
Support includes applications advice, product recommendations, and technical problem resolution
Create test scripts
Create and modify hardware that controls test parameters (i.e. temperature or voltage)
Interface customer diagnostics with pre-existing automation scheme
Interface with external customer
Design and Implement Micron Product Qualification Automation
Utilize diagnostics to reproduce the original failure
Identify failure mechanism
Collaborate with Product Engineering and Return Material Authorization (RMA)
Communicate findings with customer Perform Failure Analysis (FA)
Perform System Characterization
Use software, logic analyzers, oscilloscopes and other tools to understand memory usage
Develop software to interpret data
Collaborate with Product and Application Engineering
Communicate results
Qualifications:
Successful candidates for this position will have experience in the following
Mechanics, robotics club, video game app developer, iPhone or android hacker.
Building own computer, radio, phone, or robot.
Working on or rebuilding cars, or any kind of vehicles.
Micro controller projects.
Education:
Must be currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.
Graduation date must not be before September 2018.
