Description
This engineer position will work on Business Intelligence (BI) and Data Warehouse (DW) projects.
A qualified candidate should be able to:
• Work with domestic/oversea counterparts to code, test, troubleshoot, document and maintain projects;
• Requirement analysis s. Common requirement gathering;
• Design ETL applications with requirements;
• Apply current technologies and applicable emerging technologies to assigned duties;
• Case handling - provide support on ticket/case handling that are raised from customer or other Support team for assistance on data content, performance or availability issues;
• Documentation - providing Support documentation on processes and procedures for maintaining system test and production environments .Document solutions and track communications as required and defined within support processes.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
• Bachelor Degree or above in Computer Science or Engineering related area;
• Strong software design capability, familiar with DW analysis and design methods and tools
• Practical working experience in BI/DW industry ;
• Knowledge in BI/DW theory and methodology;
• Experienced in the following tools or skills:
o Oracle database and PL/SQL
o Informatica is plus
o Siebel Analytics and Business Objects is plus
• Team-working attitude with strong desire to learn and excel.
• Fluent English is a must. Good English communication skills, with the ability to present resolution to foreign customers in a clear and comprehensible way.
• Ability to work in a multicultural and international environment. Can adapt to overlap works due to time difference.
• Exceptional interpersonal and team skills, Excellent Customer Service Focus (focus on customer as the top priority, keep abreast of customer needs and priorities, and provide value to the customer).
• Good time management skills, ability to multi-task and handle pressure without compromising level of customer service or required detail
• Analytical, thorough, resourceful and detail-oriented, Ability to analyze complex, interrelated user issues and Isolate probable causes of issues
• Solving skills to identify, research, isolate, and resolve customer issues. Maintain call ownership from initial customer contact to call resolution, which includes supporting escalations if appropriate, and provide customer updates either by phone or email timely;
