Challenge Program
This is a 3.5-year graduate program with three placements, providing early career development opportunities for high potential young graduates to accumulate cross BU knowledge/skills to be future leaders or senior experts as subject discipline. Role Synopsis
BP Lubricants spends $1.4b+ annually on None Product Related (NPR) goods and services. The objective is to develop a Best in Class NPR procurement service to the Lubricants China business that is compliant to BP group standards and policies. A key feature of this role is to develop and maintain strong working relationships with business stakeholders in China.
The NPR Graduate Procurement specialist China will work closely with the NPR Procurement Manager in China in the execution of sourcing initiatives, and where appropriate implement Global Category Strategies.
The jobholder will be involved in:
- Support supplier negotiations, updating KPI’s under the Supplier Performance Management Framework to deliver, track, report COGS, CASH savings to China OU
- Facilitate in ensuring all NPR contracting activity in China is compliant to SPU and Group Standards, and for ensuring their region’s spend and contracting is accurately reflected in Oyster
- Engage and challenge internal customers, understand options and risks associated with business activities, build supplier relationships, negotiate commercial terms to deliver best value solutions, measurement, and reporting of the value and savings delivered

Requirements
- Bachelor or Master Degree, majoring in Finance, Engineering, Economics or International Trade is a plus
- Good command of English and Chinese languages
- Ability to manage multiple tasks independently and self-motivated in tough environment
- Attention to detail in setting up programs and analysing results
- Open to working location during the program
- Excellent interpersonal communication capability both internally and externally
- Great team player
